to move the map around in the 4 directions, the map will then be redrawn
at the new location. |

| The Zoom In tool can be used
in one of 2 ways. 1. Select the tool then click a point on the map (the
zoom will then go to half of the current zoom level) or 2. Clicking on a
point, and then whilst holding down the left mouse button, drag the mouse
away to display a zoom box, when the mouse button is released, the map
will zoom to that area. |

| The Zoom Out tool is used to
zoom the view out from a map, click on a location on the map, and the zoom
level will increase to double the current level. |

| The Centre tool allows the map
to be panned around, simply select the tool, click on a point on the map,
and the map will be redrawn, centered on the location clicked on. |

| The Information tool is used
for displaying specific information from selected layers on the map. For
instance, if a user has displayed the school layer, then the into tool can
be used to click on one of the schools to retrieve information about it,
this information will be listed beneath the map display. Another use could
be on the 'Council Information' map, click on a ward to see who the
councillors are. |

| The Show All tool will cause
the map to be redrawn but zoomed out to the full area or extents of the
map. |
