The proposed extension by reason of its siting will represent an un-neighbourly form of development creating a visually over bearing effect on the rear of our house.

The extension will create loss of light and will give extremely restrictive views from the rear bedroom which is used by my daughter and will leave her in a bedroom where she will get no natural light and will have to rely on artificial lights throughout the year. In effect the rear bedroom will look onto a brick wall. The extension will also create a huge shadow and block any natural sunlight on our Kitchen, Dining Room and back garden

Number 16 has a very large side garden which would be more appropriate spatially and visually for a two storey extension and would be more in keeping with local housing than a large rear extension which would look out of place in the Cul de sac. We have a two storey side extension (built prior to our purchase) which has no impact on neighbouring houses and fits in with all other local house builds.

Another concern is how materials will be delivered to site, the cul de sac has a very small turning circle which is usually occupied with cars parking for the local school and public house as well as local residents. There are also a lot of young children who use the roads/pavements and as number 16 is on a blind bend this could be extremely hazardous to them.
